If you've been buying from us for a while, or you've come to the Southbank studio for a consultation, you may have heard about Guthrie Jewellery.
Guthrie is the brand we're building as the home for everything we do, including the moissanite engagement rings you'll find on this site. Same studio, same team, same approach to ethical jewellery. New name.
This is a short explanation of why we made the change, what it means for clients of moissaniteengagementrings.com.au, and what's next.
Why a new brand
The honest answer: we outgrew the original name.
Moissanite Engagement Rings was a clear, descriptive name when we started. It told you exactly what we sold. As the business grew, it told you about one stone we work with but didn't capture the full studio: lab grown diamond engagement rings, custom design, wedding bands, the consultation work that's become a big part of what we do day to day.
Naming the studio Guthrie gives us a brand that fits the whole work, not just one stone.
The name itself: Guthrie was my grandfather. He worked with his hands, made things that lasted, took the time to do things properly. The kind of work I want this studio to be associated with.
What changes for moissanite clients
Practically: nothing.
The moissanite engagement rings you see on this site are unchanged. Same designs, same ethical sourcing, same GRC certification on every stone, same lifetime warranty, same Southbank studio. The team you've been dealing with is the same team.
If you've ordered a ring from us recently or you're in the middle of a custom design, nothing about your order changes. The communication will come from the same people. The ring will be delivered the same way.

Guthrie Jewellery is at guthriejewellery.com.au. It's the home for the broader collection: lab grown diamond engagement rings, moissanite rings, wedding bands, and custom design work.
If you're shopping for lab grown diamond rings specifically, the Guthrie site is where you'll find the full range. If you're focused on moissanite, both sites have the same moissanite collection.
Over time, the two sites will become one: guthriejewellery.com.au will be the main home, and this moissanite-specific site will stay as a focused entry point for couples who specifically want moissanite. But that's a slow transition. No urgent changes for current customers.
The ethics commitment is the same
The reason we started this studio was the ethics of stone sourcing. Lab grown diamonds and moissanite let couples have a beautiful, durable engagement ring without the supply chain problems of mined diamonds: environmental damage, worker exploitation, opacity about where stones came from.
That commitment doesn't change with the brand name. If anything, Guthrie lets us talk about it more clearly because the brand isn't tied to one stone. It's tied to the approach.
